Grandview Vineyard
Grandview Vineyard in Mount Joy is a family-owned winery in the rolling hills of northwest Lancaster County, with a tasting deck that overlooks the beautiful 5-acre vineyard and adjacent farmland. It all started in the early 2000s when the Kennel family's patriarch developed a hobby for wine-making — a surprise to his children, as they'd never seen him consume alcohol in their Mennonite home. Have a glass of their flagship wine, Grande Rouge, which represents the finest selection of their estate grapes, or sample several selections of their dry and sweet wines.
From May through October, Grandview Vineyard hosts its Wine of the Vine Concert Series every Friday and Saturday night from 6-8:30 p.m. Musicians will play on the tasting deck, and every weekend is something new — blues, pop, folk, classic rock — with plenty of tunes you can sing along to. Enjoy your favorite wines, local beer on tap, and Grandview specialty cocktails. Seating is first come first served, so arrive early to ensure seating. Food is available for purchase, or you can bring your own eats.
Nissley Vineyards
At Nissley Vineyards in Bainbridge, wine and music pair well together. So well, that the winery's annual Summerfest Concert Series draws thousands of guests to enjoy live music, dancing, food, and wine each summer when the winery transforms into a popular music venue — a tradition that started some 40 years ago. This picturesque property is beautifully set by an 18th-century mill and winding creek with a stone-arch winery and 30 acres of fertile vineyards.
The live music shows at Nissley are held from 6-10 p.m. every Friday and Saturday in July and August. Each night features a different band playing all kinds of music — jazz, rock, funk, soul, pop, R&B, and more. Sip on an incredible selection of award-winning wines — from a dry Cabernet Franc to a sweet Niagara — by the glass or bottle. Craft beer from Moo-Duck Brewery also is available during the concerts, as well as wine slushies. Grab a bite to eat from one of the onsite food trucks or feel free to carry in your own picnic.
Britain Hill Venue and Vineyard
Ken and Debbie Helm purchased the Lancaster property where they built Britain Hill Venue and Vineyard in 2017. They envisioned a destination that offered thoughtfully produced wine and so much more. You can sip on red, white, blush, and fruit wines while taking in the views and serenity of the southern Lancaster County countryside. They also support the region's breweries by offering locally made beers on tap. Britain Hill has special events throughout the year, such as murder mystery nights, line dancing, sip-and-create art parties, and more.
Britain Hill welcomes live music events seasonally. From May through October, they host Food Truck Fridays. Talented local musicians playing every type of music — rock, blues, jazz, reggae, funk, classical — will take the stage on the patio. Grab a cold beer, glass of wine, or even a wine slushie flight while you enjoy something delicious from the food truck. Or unwind on a Sunday afternoon with Sunday Funday, featuring great acoustic tunes from a rotating slate of performers. Additional music nights are sprinkled throughout the year, so be sure to check Britain Hill's events calendar to see who's playing.
